About Kirsten Figaro
Welcome! Do you often feel misunderstood? Finding it difficult to wade through all of life’s curveballs, trials and tribulations? I believe having someone you can trust who will offer validation and individualized support is crucial to creating meaningful and effective change. You’ve taken the first step, in seeking out a therapist to walk in this journey with, and I’m glad you’re here.
I specialize in working with couples, adolescents, and men. I like to think of myself as a consultant or coach, who you can work with as your partner in understanding yourself, your goals and getting you to where you want to be, on your terms. You have the power, and my passion is to help you access and master that power. It would be my pleasure to work with you!
I collaborate with clients to identify and enhance what is currently working for them and help determine what could be going better and how to get there. As a part of the human race, and particularly American society, we get inundated with messages about who we should be and the path we should take to get there. I collaborate with clients to discover their most authentic self so that you can begin to live the life you’ve always wanted. My approach to therapy is to provide a safe and non-judgmental environment where positive change can happen, hope flourishes and relationships thrive.
In sessions, I use interventions informed by both Solution-Focused and Narrative Therapy theory and that are tailored to each client. I work with children, teens, families and adult individuals, while positioning each client within their system to work at the root of each concern. Each session is geared towards you and your goals, as there is no cookie-cutter approach to therapy. I look forward to meeting you!
