Kirsten Figaro, MS, LMFTA,

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist Associate

Welcome, I am so glad you are here. As members of society, we are inundated with messages about the “shoulds” and “should nots” of daily living; at times it can feel so hard to keep it all straight. In your life, do you often find yourself feeling misunderstood? Do you struggle with the feeling that you aren’t living up to society’s expectations? What about the expectations you have of yourself? Are you truly living life the way you’d like to be? What might be stopping you? I believe that having someone you can trust who will offer validation and individualized support is crucial in doing meaningful and effective work to address these questions and help you find the answers you’re searching for.

In my work, I prefer to collaborate with clients utilizing a systemic approach – looking at life through a wide-angle lens. Together, we will explore your roots and your worldview, assess for any trauma, identify areas for growth and healing and work to establish and achieve goals for living life as your most authentic self.

My mission in therapy is to provide a safe, judgement-free space where positive change can happen, hope can flourish, and relationships can thrive. I utilize various modalities in session, including: Solution-Focused, Narrative and Emotion Focused Therapy. Each session is tailored to the client and their specific need and areas of focus. I work with children, teens, and adults as individuals or as couples and families. Clients can expect that each of their sessions with me will be an experience where they can safely share and edit their story.

I am passionate about assisting clients with the following:

  • Anxiety

  • Attachment Wounds

  • Trauma

  • Sex & Intimacy

  • Depression

  • Relationship Issues

  • Infidelity & Affairs

  • Pre-marital Counseling

  • Family Functioning & Dynamics

  • Parent-Child Relationship Issues
